Hans-Henning Schröder is head of the Dept. of Russia/CIS at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs, Berlin
and
Professor of History at the University of Bremen, Germany.
He studied at the Free University of
Berlin and the Zhdanov-University in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). He
received his PhD at the Free University of Berlin and his professorship at
Ruhr-University Bochum. He
is a member of the supervisory board of the German Association for East
European Studies (DGO). His research focuses on current political
developments in Russia, studies of political and economic elites, foreign
and security policy as well as Stalinism. |
