Julia Kusznir read political sciences at the Institute of International
Relations of Warsaw University. She wrote her diploma dissertation on
'Economic and commercial exchange between Poland and Russia, 1992-1999'.
She received her PhD at Bremen University with a thesis on ‘The
political influence of economic elites in the Russian regions 1992-2005. An
analysis based on the examples of the Oil and Gas industries’. Since 2005
she has been director of KICES.
